AHAHAHAHAHAHA!! I love these!!
Seeing a definite scientific table theme going on here…
Hard to pick but my faves are the Salvador Dali, Viagra, and, heh heh, Osama ben Lantern!! AHAHAHAHA!!!!
I also like Alien and Pacman and Old Faithful. I like anything using the guts. Too funny!
Oh man, it’s way past my bedtime.
But I want to see more.

@Steph
Hahhah! You’re up past your bedtime too, eh?

Friar,
Favorites, favorites… Uranium 235 (hysterical), Manjigglies + (the Lion needs to see that one), and my very favorite, On Jupiter. Perfect.
ROFLOL some more. What a great way to start my day. Love them!
Regards,
Kelly

@Kelly
Yes, thanks to the Panther and Lion, I got inspired to do the Man Jigglies. (I don’t think I had a choice!)
Oh, dear, I think I’m going to have to draw some more, now.
October 9, 2008 at 8:11 am
These are good… you need to draw one with stitches in it’s head, that’s drooling – you can either call it “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” or “Widget Factory Manager”… heh heh
Draw a bunch of old wrinkled up pumpkins with torches and pitchforks, hobbling down the street, call it “Splat Creek Lynch Mob on the Hunt for Friar”
October 9, 2008 at 8:22 am
More Friar-O-Lanterns! Yay! They’re all great, but I really like Viagra (lol) and Mini Black Hole.
Will there really be more? Really?
October 9, 2008 at 9:53 am
Man jigglies made me blush and anger management reminded me of John McCain, and no that is not a political statement.
These were great Friar! ROFL!
October 9, 2008 at 10:14 am
Brett’s comment reminded me of the Grey Heads. Where are the GH pumpkins?
Brett: The widget factor manager was done already. Only it was called Special Ed.
October 9, 2008 at 10:39 am
That’s it! The Urbane Lion definitely needs to submit ‘manjigglies’ to the Urban Dictionary. Afterall, they have been sketched by the famous Friar!
October 9, 2008 at 12:02 pm
@Brett
I’m already seeing pictures in my head…!! ( You guys are giving me too many ideas!)
@Rebecca
Really? (You guys aren’t sick of these yet?).
Well, looks like I’ll have to post some more. Maybe next week….
@Karen
I never thought of McCain as angry. Just OLD.
Mabye I should make a Palin-Pumpkin!
@Steph
Good point. I already drew special Ed…that should cover management.
I gotta watch it. If I’m too mean to the less fortunate Pumpkins, Wendi will come by and send me to my room.
@Panther
Yes, you and Lion both inspired me to draw the man-jigglies (especially after all the positive responses you got!)
You’ve now been immoratlized!
October 9, 2008 at 12:28 pm
That cucumber has some major curvature…yikes!
I notice the humpin’ pumpkins are having a threesome (two guys, right?)
And we need a ‘devil pumpkin’. Two stems as horns. (To go with the evil woodland critters pumpkin orgy
)
October 9, 2008 at 12:37 pm
Oh Friar, you crack me up! LOL. Loved the Viagra and the Alien.
October 9, 2008 at 1:04 pm
@Karen
Well, there are probably rules on the Internet, about drawing erect cucumbers. So yes, I put in some curvature…!
Yep, the pumpkin threesome includes two guys (though they seem a bit confused, over what to do with the girl).
Evil Woodland Critters! (Oh, they just SCARE ME!). Anyone who doesn’t know South Park should stay away!
@davina
Thanks. (And yes, I’ll send you an email about your friend…!)
Notice there seems to be a consensus…most people like the male-genitalia themed pumpkins!)
October 9, 2008 at 1:06 pm
@Karen
I had to laugh when you mentioned Humpin Pumpkins yesterday, because I had already drawn them, and was just on the verge of posting it.
Great (or twisted?) minds think alike.
October 9, 2008 at 1:31 pm
“Notice there seems to be a consensus…most people like the male-genitalia themed pumpkins!”
Directly contradicting Panther’s assertions about sillyness… or directing supporting her theory?
Hmm, hmm.
October 9, 2008 at 1:44 pm
@Kelly
Well…the majority of my commenters happen to be women.
What does this all mean?
I’ll let YOU GUYS decide! (I aint’ touching that one with a ten-foot pole).
PS. Pun intended.
October 9, 2008 at 1:48 pm
Oh goodness, Friar. I’m sitting in a cubicle at my boyfriend’s office, doing my best not to bust up laughing! If I were at home, I’d probably be giggling uncontrollably, but I’m *trying* to maintin a semblance of professionalism here.
Hehe.
I love the ecliplse and LHC pumpkins! (I almost just wrote “pimpkins”, which might fit the theme you have going on there!
)
October 9, 2008 at 5:11 pm
@steph & Friar,
I’m thinking that the Special Ed pumpkin is a management candidate requiring no training. Lobotomized pumpkin started out as a normal pumpkin, and then went on management training…
Humpin punkins – hmm… maybe it’s two guys and a girl… or maybe all girls, and some of the girls have, err, “strap-on” cucumbers?
(sorry, mind is in the gutter)
@Friar,
We missed one that is totally obvious.
You have to draw a “Bumpkin Pumpkin” – just make it look like someone from Clontarf or Quadeville and you’ll nail it… straw hat… piece of grass hanging out of the mouth… lazy eye… two teeth… drooling as it says, “squeal like a pig, boy”
October 9, 2008 at 6:35 pm
@Allison
You obviously have a preference for the science/physics pumpkins (So do I!)
PS. What kind of professionalism are you trying to maintain at your boyfriends office, if you’re reading the DEEP FRIAR at work?
@Brett
Bumpkin Pumpkin.
Okay, that DOES IT. I’m gonna have to do another post next week. (I’m already getting too many new ideas).
October 9, 2008 at 6:40 pm
@Friar – Yeppers… that obvious?
Heh well, I *am* hidden in a cubicle…
October 10, 2008 at 2:29 am
I wish I wasn’t so base – I am thinking pumpkin pie.
((
October 10, 2008 at 8:16 am
@Allison
Well, you’re reading this during your break times…right? Riiiiiight?
@Harmony
No, you’re just being environmentally friendly: Recycling Pumpkins.

October 10, 2008 at 12:29 pm
@Friar – Pfft. My boyfriend’s work. Not mine. I’m just hanging out… so no one cares what I’m reading. (I can read The Deep Friar all day!)
October 10, 2008 at 3:03 pm
The manjigglies had me laughing so hard I guess I forgot to comment. LOL
October 10, 2008 at 3:44 pm
@Allison
Oh, Lucky YOU!
@Amy
Like I said, it’s the Panther and Lion’s fault for making me think of man-jigglies.
